Tyson Corner Ritz Carlton Tasting

On Thursday Jen & I had the pleasure of going to a tasting at the Ritz featuring their new Indian Chef Shivani Miglani, and the amazing works of Partyland Flowers & Decor!! The Maestro restaurant was transformed into a vibrant & welcoming mecca of excitement for all your senses. Chef Shivani also happens to be the chef for Tandoori Nights restaurants and he presented a tasty feast for all to enjoy.

It was great to get out and visit with old friends in the industry and to meet brand new ones as well.

Something else I have learned over the last week is that Working Brides is truly becoming the "top" Indian wedding planner in the DC area :) Yea for that!! We have heard the buzz around town (from other vendors that we refer our clients to) that we have more Indian weddings than other planners in the area for 2009. It looks like we are beating the competition to the punch for 2010 as well :) We are certainly excited to hear this cool news. We have really dedicated time to perfect an Indian wedding, and our modern yet knowledgeable twist has Wowed many an Auntie & Uncle, lol!!!

So to all of my Bollywood brides out there, looking for a vibrant and exciting 2010 wedding, give us a call 301-972-4223!

1st Wedding of the 2009 season

Last weeks 1st wedding of the season truly went well, and lets say it didn't quite start out that way. There were looming dark clouds and a ton of rain on the Friday morning of Pat & Rich's wedding, but the sky's opened just in time for pics :)

Thanks to my fabulous team of vendors the Bride, Groom, and their guests had a fantastic evening. This was a wedding that I didn't think would do to much dancing, but I was SOOO WRONG (yes I said I was wrong, whatever). This was a very small wedding, about 60 guests ranging from 4-70. Let me tell you the older folks were the most fun, vibrant, and truly entertaining group EVER. They were having a ball and were the first on the dance floor and the last to leave. DJ Evan couldn't play anything that they couldn't groove to, lol!! It was a blast :)

So thanks Pat & Rich for allowing Working Brides to be a part of your oh so special day!!

One last shout to the staff at the Annapolis Westin, you were great!!! Special thanks to Cathy Sandler, Larry the Concierge ( you left w/o that piece of cake) & Fazzie at the front desk (you were so accommodating), you all went above and beyond to make the event a success!!
